How does sponsoring a future engineer work?
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to sponsor a future engineer through CrunchLabs! You're really investing in the dreams and aspirations of young builders and thinkers around the world through a Hack Pack subscription.
Here’s how it works: sponsorships like yours offset the cost to purchase and assemble the Hack Packs. CrunchLabs provides these Hack Packs to our partner FIRST, (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). FIRST is a global nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization dedicated to empowering young minds. They will distribute Hack Packs to kids who otherwise wouldn’t have access to CrunchLabs subscriptions. It’s through our incredible partnership with FIRST that we can ensure every contribution makes a significant impact.
Is this a tax deductible donation?
That's a great question. Since our lovely sponsors are purchasing a Hack Pack (or Build Box) for a child through our partners at FIRST, this is not considered a direct cash or goods donation to a charitable organization and is therefore not a tax-deductible donation.
Will I be able to know which child my specific donation went to?
We will not know the identity of or be able to provide the information of any specific recipient given the way our partnership with FIRST works. Your contribution will be pooled together with funds from other sponsors and used to deliver a bulk order of Hack Packs (or Build Boxes) to FIRST. FIRST will then deliver the boxes directly to children in need or facilitate the distribution through its partners to the recipients.
Can I donate more than $10,000?
