We’re a very small team of fun-loving design dorks and engineering nerds led by Mark Rober, our Head EnginNerd & former NASA engineer.

CrunchLabs is a massive, Willy Wonka-style Top Secret-Foam Pit-Glitter Bomb-Workshop-Prank Tank-Laboratory-Nerf Battlefield-Clubhouse-Fun Factory in the SF Bay Area, where we create each original, buildable engineering toy & every super fun (and science-packed) video from scratch.

Don't Just Take Our Word For It

“In 2022, Rober extended his STEM-pire to include the CrunchLabs Build Box, a monthly subscription that lets little engineers build cool toys and gadgets at home. …His infectious enthusiasm and eye for detail make the videos and builds fun to do and watch, whether my daughter follows along on her own or we make them together.” "Leaves kids feeling accomplished, creative, intelligent, and eager for more. Subscription delivery day is the best day of the month." CrunchLabs is a STEM.org Authenticated™ Educational Product

Engineering Sustainability

We couldn’t do CrunchLabs without Earth, so we believe the best way to inspire responsible engineering is to lead by example:

📦
Our packaging is compostable. We use uncoated cardboard boxes and compostable plastic substitutes to package/ship our toys - They're for kids to play with, not sea turtles to eat!
🌳
Our toys grow on trees. We use as much wood as possible in the design of our toys.
🔧
Our toys stay out of the landfill longer. We make our toys robust and repairable so they can be enjoyed for as long as possible.
